I found one of my pairs of work shoes had a chunk out of the lower sole, so decided I needed to get a new pair. Pumpkins showed up in the produce department! Busy, tiring Ash Wednesday: picked up some hours at work, since someone had been requested to work that day but had never returned my boss's calls, so I was next on the list to take the slot. So, just got a start on bringing out some of our crazy collection of plastic jack o'lanterns to put them out in the yard. We're getting the roof reshingled and our windows replaced, so things have been a bit chaotic and my dad hasn't had a minute to dig out our Hallowe'en stuff. It's still a little humid (possibly as a result of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Earl blowing through), but that's likely from all the rain we had last night. But there's a nice breeze and there's something oddly autumnal about it.
